Ball Spline Unit With Integrated Rotary Bearing

Ball Spline Unit Pre-assembled with :-

  • Stroke Ball Spline
  • Rotary Bearing
  • Timing Pulley

Features

Compact Design

  • Outer diameter of rotary bearing is ϕ11mm.
  • Minimum pitch arrangement is 12mm.
  • Weight saving.

Possible actions of “Z-axis x ϴ-axis + Suction”

  • Z-axis (Linear Motion) x ϴ-axis (Rotation).
  • Hollow shaft allow suction equipment installed.

Both end of the shaft (20mm each) is machinable

  • Machinable both ends allow the user to process at the user end.

About shaft end machining

  • Both ends of the shaft are machinable, the user can do machining at the user ends.
  • Both ends of the shaft (from the shaft end to the laser marking, 20mm each) are machinable.
(refer to the figure above: for dimensions, refer to the backside).
  • While machining the shaft, be careful not to damage or allow foreign matter to enter the spline unit.
  • It is also possible to draw the shaft out of the spline unit and then machine it.

In this case, pay attention to the following points.

  1. Pull the shaft out slowly in the stroke direction.
  2. While machining it, be careful not to bend the shaft and not to damage the part of the shaft outside the machinable range.
  • Align the match mark (or set screw in the case of the M type) with the serial number as shown in the figure above, and insert the shaft slowly.

Once the shaft has been removed from the spline unit, or the end of the shaft has been machined, the shaft runout is no longer covered by the warranty.

Applications

  • Mounter, Handler etc.
  • Transfer Head for Pick and Place Unit.

Model numbers notation

Dimension

  • The asterisked runout values in the figure on the left, are guaranteed values at time of shipment.
  • Once the shaft has been removed from the spline unit, or the end of the shaft has been machined, this value is no longer covered by the warranty.
  • Preload: 0.5 to 2 μm
    Material – Spline unit:SUJ2, aluminum
    shaft (raceways):SUJ2
  • Shaft hardness:HRC 58 or greater
Machinable range:Approx. HRC 30 or less
